British Columbia’s (BC's) international education sector benefits greatly from the expertise, contributions, and great abilities of both long-standing and emerging professionals. The hard work, innovation, and tireless vision of our best and brightest are responsible for positioning BC as a leader in Canada for attracting and supporting international students, and for the collaborative development of new international programming.

In order to recognize and celebrate excellence in the field of international education in the province, the BC Council for International Education (BCCIE) is pleased to announce details for the third annual BCCIE International Education Awards. In order to provide nominees and winners with maximum exposure, all winners will be announced at the awards banquet on the evening of Tuesday, June 26, 2012 as part of the BCCIE Summer Seminar 2012.

Awards will be given out in the following categories:

1. International Education Distinguished Leadership Award
2. International Education Distinguished Service Award
3. Innovation in International Marketing Award
4. Rising Star in International Education Award
5. Outstanding Program in International Education Award

Nominate Your Colleagues

Nominations will now be accepted until April 15, 2012. BCCIE will profile various award nominees during the month of May.

Selection Process

Selection of award winners will be decided by a peer committee comprised of leaders from BCCIE’s stakeholder communities and external partners.

Awards Banquet

The International Education Awards Banquet will be held at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort and Conference Centre, on the Grand Terrace, as part of the BCCIE Summer Seminar 2012. The event will be held on Tuesday, June 26. All full conference attendees will receive a complimentary ticket to the event. A limited number of additional tickets will be available for purchase in advance.
