BCCIE Professional Development Series
BCCIE recognizes the critical value of keeping abreast of international trends, building best practise approaches, and encouraging skills acquisition across the sector at the practitioner level. Thank you for your feedback and suggestions for this year’s professional development series. Below you’ll find a list of key dates for our professional development, sector roundtable, and speakers’ series events.
Note that pre-registration is required for all events. Please click on the link for each event for more information and to register. We will continue to update this page as events are confirmed. Note that for some professional development events, BCCIE will charge a nominal fee in order to cover the costs of space, catering, and speaker costs.
Sector Roundtables are an important chance for practitioners to engage in dialogue with BCCIE staff and to share critical institutional updates and issues of concern affecting the industry.
Professional Development Events are an opportunity for practitioners to stay informed about the current trends and relevant issues facing the international education sector. Each session focuses on a different special topic and presentations are conducted by various representatives from the sector.
Summer Seminar is BCCIE’s annual conference that brings international education professionals from BC and Canada together to engage in dialogue around key topics within the sector.
Participation in Roundtable and Professional Development Events
Please note that BCCIE Roundtables and some BCCIE Professional Development events are open to BCCIE stakeholders only. BCCIE stakeholders are those practitioners who work at public school districts or recognized independent K-12 schools and EQA-designated post-secondary institutions and language schools. BCCIE will confirm eligibility during the registration process.
A selection of BCCIE Professional Development events are open to BCCIE Associates who include education colleagues from outside BC and all non-profit and government partners within and outside of BC. Such events will be noted in the event announcement.
Should you have questions about eligibility, please contact events@bccie.bc.ca.
