BCCIE is pleased to announce a mini-Team BC mission to Korea in early November, 2009. The Team BC Korea mission will support those institutions planning to attend the Canadian Embassy events in Seoul.

The Embassy of Canada in Seoul organizes a two-day education U-hak-Jeon (Fair) targeting all education sectors, including K-12, post-secondary, and language training. This stand-alone Canadian education fair is designed to allow Canadian representatives to reach out to potential students, agents, and parents.

BCCIE will work with the Embassy to raise the collective profile of BC’s institutions at the fair. BCCIE will also conduct a seminar for agents working with BC institutions and will also have abooth presence during both fair days. We also plan to generate collateral profiling eligible BC institutions in attendance. Additionally, BCCIE hopes to engage in additional value-added activity prior to the fair dates.

More details about BCCIE activities will be forthcoming. At this point, we ask you to indicate your interest in attending the Team BC Korea mission by emailing BCCIE Marketing Assistant, Gustavo Espinola. While there is a cost to register for the Embassy fair, there is no additional cost to be part of Team BC events.

Introduction

BCCIE is partnering with the Canadian Embassy in Seoul to coordinate a BC presence at the Embassy-organized fair November 6-7. This fair attract quality students, parents and agents interested in both K-12 and post-secondary study. BCCIE will be participating in the Seoul fair and will work with participating institutions to raise the collective profile of study opportunities in BC.

In addition to participating in the fairs, BCCIE is exploring opportunities for value-added activity for participants. BCCIE will also be presenting an agent session on study opportunities in BC.
