Team BC Maple Leaf: MLES Fairs 2010

BCCIE is pleased to announce that we will be supporting British Columbia (BC) institutions attending the upcoming Maple Leaf Student Recruitment Fairs in China, November 18-28, 2010. Please note that these events are open to accredited post-secondary institutions only and as MLES is the fair organizer, they will handle all decisions regarding registration and fair eligibility.

As with last year’s events, BCCIE is coordinating a several activities that will assist in promoting BC as a first choice study destination. There will be a BC pavilion at each of the three fairs in Dalian, Wuhan and Tianjin. Also, BCCIE has arranged to present Study in BC seminars to the students prior to the opening of the fairs and welcome reception.

In addition to these value-added activities, BCCIE has arranged an optional BC only mini-fair in Chongqing. Please know that while other MLES participants may attend a familiarity session in Chongqing, BC will be the only province hosting a mini-fair.

The Maple Leaf Educational System (MLES) offers students a BC-curriculum, graduating with a Dogwood certificate, and is considered a much targeted market for recruitment. In your marketing strategies we recommend using alumni, providing testimonials from past Maple Leaf students and statics or good news stories about your Maple Leaf students and their experience at your institutions.

By working with MLES and coordinating a BC presence at these events we hope to further increase the flow of MLES graduates to BC post-secondary institutions and share information and best practices on working in the Chinese market.

While there is a charge of $1000 USD to participate in the Maple Leaf Fairs; there is no charge to participate in the Team BC activities.
