QS, the UK based producers of the World University Rankings, have created a new series of undergraduate focused student recruitment events, tours and fairs. The first, the Top Universities and World of Study London Fair was held in March 2009. The strong turn out from Canadian institutions was representative both of the high standing of Canadian universities in the World Universities Rankings and the high quality of all Canadian educational institutions.  Last year's inaugural event was very successful. The event location was sold out to exhibitors and the student turn-out was far greater than anticipated (over 3,800). As a result, the London Fair March 2010 has been relocated to the much larger venue of Earls Court. 

Edu-Canada will be organizing a branded Canada Pavilion at the two day March fair which is expected to attract over 5,000 visitors.  Edu-Canada has negotiated a price reduction from US$4050 to US$3500 for institutions that sign on as a response to this. Edu-Canada is committed to providing opportunites to showcase Canadian excellence and promoting all post-secondary institutions eligible to use the Imagine Education au/in Canada brand on an equal basis.  

Further to the Brand Use Eligibility Policy jointly established by Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (DFAIT) and the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC), post-secondary education institutions are invited to consult the provincial lists of eligible institutions on the « Imagine Education au/in Canada, Brand Use Guidelines » site at http://www.imagine.cmec.ca/en/zone/ to confirm their eligibility to participate in promotion events.
