Internship Program in Chile

This program, administered in cooperation with our partner organization, Comisión de Intercambio Educativo (COINED), provides unpaid internship opportunities for US and Canadian students and young professionals in Santiago de Chile. Internship placements are available in a variety of fields, including, but not limited to, business/finance, general administration, hotel management/tourism, non-profit, international relations, computer science, engineering and a variety of other fields. Two program options are available: a 4-week Spanish language course and an 8-week internship (language/internship option) or a 12-week internship (internship option). All internships are unpaid; however, scholarships are available to qualified participants through the CDS International Scholarship Fund. Participants will receive a scholarship application following acceptance to the program.

DEADLINE:

Year-round program with rolling admittance - applications should be submitted 3-4 months before desired start date.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • US or Canadian citizens
  • Minimum age is 18; maximum age is 30
  • Two years of post-secondary instruction in Spanish or the equivalent (language/internship option) or high-intermediate Spanish sufficient to function in a Spanish-speaking work environment immediately upon arrival in Chile (internship option)
  • Participants must have completed at least 2 years of study at a university/college

FEES:

  • A $50 non-refundable application fee must accompany the application. Upon acceptance, participants pay a program fee of $650.

Internship Program in Argentina

This program, administered in cooperation with our partner organization, Comisión de Intercambio Educativo (COINED), provides unpaid internship opportunities for US and Canadian students and young professionals in either Buenos Aires or Córdoba, Argentina. Two program options are available: a 4-week Spanish language course and an 8-week internship with an Argentinean company (Combination Language/Internship Option) or a 12-week internship with a host company (Internship Option). Internship placements are available in a variety of fields, including, but not limited to business, economics, engineering, finance, Spanish studies, international relations, IT, media/communications, not profit sector and tourism.
